To all Heathcote Residents and others with Affiliation to the Valley

 ANZAC DAY 25TH APRIL 2012

The 2012 Anzac Day Dawn Parade will be held as in earlier years at the War Memorial on the Bridal Path Road-Martindales Road-Flavell Street intersection.

Last year again showed an excellent turn out when young and old alike attended to pay their respects to those who paid the supreme sacrifice in all wars.

Ernie Collins will read the Roll of Honour.  Head Boy - Joshua Kotara and Head Girl - Ella Haris will read "Why wear a poppy?". It's pleasing to note the continued attendance of young people at this parade.

Heathcote locals will know all about the speedy demolition across the railway line from our Valley Inn Tavern. The old concrete towers from the valley's days as home to the maltworks are almost gone.

Not fast enough though, judging by the comments heard from everybody watching. Somebody yelled to the crane driver, "Stop messing around, just hit it!"
